ABOUT THE GROUP:
Amroha, in Uttar Pradesh, India is famous for
wooden handicrafts. Early builders fashioned wood
into different shapes such as birds, animals and
the human figures. Later these were carved on
roots, pillars, pilasters, beams, brackets and
corners. Finely crafted handicrafts like bracelets,
bangles, necklaces, coaster plates, boxes, serving
plates, etc. are made out of wood of Indian Rosewood,
Mango and other locally available wood. Floral,
geometric and figurative carving is also done
here with wood inlay work.
CFM is here promoting a local entrepreneur
Amit Kumar, who works with 10 skilled artisans.
CFM provides design inputs which are converted
into final products by the artisans.
